About Arab Drivers Desk

Where this started

For years I ran تعريفات العرب, an Arabic driver catalog. It listed GPU, printer, and scanner drivers for people who just wanted their hardware to work — no account, no download manager, no nonsense. The catalog got old, the hardware got newer, and the audience shifted. So the site moved to English and became Arab Drivers Desk. The name is a leftover, and I kept it on purpose.

Who writes the pages

I’m a PC technician. Most of my working life has been spent at a bench: reinstalling Windows, chasing down why a printer won’t appear, watching a GPU driver install fail halfway and leave a black screen behind. The pages here come from that bench, not from a press release. When a driver version has a known problem, you’ll read about it in plain words. When an installer needs a specific order of steps, you’ll get the steps.

What you’ll find

You get driver download pages for graphics cards, printers, and scanners, with version notes that tell you what changed and whether it’s worth installing. You get install fixes for the failures that keep coming back — the setup that stalls, the device that shows up with a yellow mark, the scanner the system refuses to see. Occasionally there’s a small utility worth keeping. What you won’t get is padding written to fill a page.

How to use the site

Start with your exact model number. Match it against the driver page, read the version notes, and follow the install order before you change anything else. If something on the site is wrong, or a fix doesn’t match what you’re seeing, tell me through the contact page — corrections from readers have fixed more than one bad entry over the years.

One habit worth keeping

Download from the source, keep the previous driver, and don’t update what already works. That rule held up in the old catalog days, and it still holds up now.
